   365 days without Facebook: Day 1 (Let’s see how long I can last)

   

   Recently, I decided to delete my facebook account because of the distraction it brought me. To make more official I set a goal for myself to not use for a whole year. For some of you all this might not be a big issue but you facebook addicts this a total big. Since I deleted my account I am saying goodbye. Who am I saying goodbye to? I am saying goodbye to the friends who aren’t really friends, to the friends who will talk to for hours online but can’t say a thing to you in person, to people who play the facebook games to keep busy, to the people who air out their business in public, and more IMPORTANTLY to hours that I spent looking up people when I could have done something better with my life. Maybe I can I find more productive things to do now……I don’t know. So….von voyage facebook, maybe I will see in another lifetime……I hope not.

   I recently bought a CD Chris Botti in Boston, in which, well, Chris Botti is in Boston and plays with the Boston Pops Orchestra, and with many guest performers. In this video Botti plays “Glad to Be Unhappy” with John Mayer. Botti talks about an album called In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning which happens to be one of my favorite Frank Sinatra albums.
